Our Club's Monthly Meeting Program
Thursday, April 10, 2025
Salem Center 50+
Demonstraotor:Dave Landers Sliced Hollow Form
Program Details: Dave's signature pieces are objects
he calls simply “Sliced Hollow Forms”. These are hollow vessels that he's
sliced apart and reassembled with Pewa (butterfly patches). Pewa
(pronounced peh-vah, meaning fish tail) is the Hawaiian term for
butterfly patches. He uses this term because he learned the process
of patching cracks from a couple of wood turners from Hawaii.
NO SAWDUST SESSION THIS MONTH
Due to the weekend classes by this month's demonstrator, there will be no Sawdust Session in April.

Welcome to the Internet home of the Willamette Valley Woodturners. Our club
is dedicated to preserve, enhance and pass on to future generations the cultural traditions
and techniques of woodturning, and to promote wider community interest in woodturning as an
art form and creative craft. We provide a time and place for fellowship with others who share
an interest in this craft, regardless of their level of woodturning experience.
