Welcome

to the Internet home of the Willamette Valley Woodturners. Our club is dedicated to preserve, enhance and pass on to future generations the cultural traditions and techniques of woodturning, and to promote wider community interest in woodturning as an art form and creative craft. We provide a time and place for fellowship with others who share an interest in this craft, regardless of their gender, race, religion, or level of woodturning experience.

Oregon Woodturning Symposium

There will be a tremendous amount of work in preparation of the symposium. We will need help in every aspect from greeters, registration, care and nurturing of the demonstrators and vendors, the list goes on. As you are aware, the symposium dates are March 6-8, 2015 at the Linn County Expo Center. We are getting a great line up of tuners, including: Mike Mahoney, Trent Bosch, Kirk DeHeer, Dale Larson, Dave Schweitzer, David Nittman, Molly Winton, Eric Lofstrom, Nick Stagg, Sara Robinson and I’m working on a few more. No doubt some wonderful talent. The program should cover all aspects of turning and we are also planning a Friday evening program for special interest groups and Saturday evening banquet and auction. So mark that weekend in March for the woodturning time of your life, now roll up your sleeves, we’ve a lot of work to do. The Oregon Woodturning Symposium web site is located here: Oregon Woodturning Symposium.
