Our Club's Monthly Meeting Program

Thursday, August 8, 2024 6:30 p.m.
Salem Center 50+
Demonstrator: John Beaver
Program Details: Winged- and Wave Bowls

We are excited to have John Beaver demonstrate his 3-D segmented
“flying rib” vessels in August. Club members are invited to visit
John's website to get a sense of his art.
Additionally, John will be doing a Friday all-day class, and a 2-day
Saturday – Sunday class.

These are described below.

During the Friday, August 9 class, John will teach the steps to create this wave bowl. This is an opportunity for you to actually be on
a lathe and turn a wave bowl with him helping you in each step.
This is not a demonstration. This is a hands-on workshop.
The cost for this all-day class is $75.

For Saturday and Sunday, (August 10-11) John is going to do classroom instruction
on a rather complicated segmented bowl with flying ribs. The project we selected is
this specific bowl.

The price for Saturday and Sunday is $150.
